About Me
I am the quintessential cat lady! I've lived with and loved cats my entire life, literally. I currently have three cats of my own, although I've had up to 8 before! In my past, I was the Feline Services Coordinator at the local Humane Society where I educated the public, employees and volunteers on cat behaviors and what to expect when they bring their new feline friend home. During my tenure, I witnessed dozens and dozens of cats arrive at the shelter because of behavioral issues that, with a little patience and coaching, would've been resolved, giving the kitty the chance to live a long, happy life with their family. My goal is to prevent cats from ending up at the shelter (or on the streets) because of behavioral issues, so here I am!
I have learned through trial and error what works and what doesn't. I have learned that no two cats are alike! Every cat has their own history, their own obstacles to get past and their own life to live. I study new techniques and try them out on my own cats if the need arises. I also attend webinars and stay up to date on the latest in cat behavior science! I love all things cats!
